Day 2 ~ Giza

Today was the day of a lifetime!  We climbed into the burial chamber of Pharaoh Khufu inside the Great Pyramid of Giza, the only standing Ancient Wonder of the world. We rode camels, saw the first sphinx ever built, ate a late four course lunch at the Mena house, a five star restaurant overlooking one of the pyramids, plus we survived another day on the Egyptian highways.

Here we are at the Sahara Desert during one of their few days of rain.  Can you believe they canceled school because of the drizzle? These pyramids are about 4,600 years old.

When this guy got up it scared the @#%& out of me.
